National Thesaurus Day is January 18th! Today's challenge: 1) Use a thesaurus to find the right word in your writing. 2) Challenge friends/family to describe people/places in as many words possible without using a thesaurus. Then ,use a thesaurus to see how descriptions improve

Robots! Instructor Etchison's students programmed their Sphero robots to recite a poem out loud according to its position.

Winter Grade Level Meetings! We covered Attendance, Perfect Attendance Award, B.A.R.K. Schoolwide Expectations, B.A.R.K. Reward Opportunity, Academic Reminders, Chromebooks and Repairs, ID Badges and Replacements, Cell Phone/Headphone Policy, EISD Dress Code, Student Code of Conduct, Safety Protocols, and more.

Robots! Students were challenged to create their own obstacle course and navigate their Sphero robots to the finish line. To command their robots, students had to create a program using block code.

6th Grade Science! Students explore the 4 spheres of Earth: Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Geosphere, Biosphere. Be sure to ask your student what they know about each of the spheres of Earth.

6th Grade English! Instructor Burciaga's students are identifying textual evidence of who is the trickier character in “The Cyclops.” Either Odysseus or Polyphemus!

🏀Basketball! Support our B-ball Teams! Gym Sporting Event Expectations. Junior High Students: No Loitering; Must sit upstairs. All students below the 8th grade and below are required to be accompanied by a paying adult in order to attend home games. Parents are responsible for their own children. Students 8th grade and below not accompanied by a paying adult will not be allowed into home contests. No Exception! All parents and visitors must sit on the appropriate side.🏀
