Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students:

Luis A. Valdez brings 36 years of experience in education, including 28 years in school leadership. A native of Eagle Pass, TX, he has served in several districts across Texas, including Zapata ISD, United ISD in Laredo, Plano ISD, and Dallas ISD. Now in his 7th year with Everman ISD, he serves as principal of Roy Johnson STEM Academy, a state-recognized campus with seven distinctions.

As the 2025–2026 school year approaches, Mr. Valdez looks forward to welcoming students back for a year of growth, learning, and opportunity.

Outside of his professional role, Mr. Valdez is a proud father of three adult children.
