Everman Independent School District CSCP Mission and Vision Statement

Everman ISD School Counseling Program Mission

The mission of Everman ISD Comprehensive Counseling Program is to foster a culture that creates a nurturing and empowering environment. Students' growth and well-being take center stage by fostering positive relationships and empowering every student to reach their full potential both academically and personally.

The vision of the Counseling Department in Everman ISD is: Every Student…Empowered for Success…Inspired to Walk in Purpose...

Each Everman ISD campus has a dedicated, fully certified counselor who holds a Master’s degree, available to serve students, families, and staff. In addition, district-level counseling support is provided to meet specialized needs.

Our Comprehensive School Counseling Program is built on four key components:

  1. Guidance Curriculum: Proactive lessons and activities that foster academic, social, and emotional growth.

  2. Responsive Services: Immediate support for students’ needs and concerns.

  3. Individual Student Planning:  Personalized goal-setting and planning for academic and career success.

  4. System Support: Coordination and collaboration to strengthen the overall learning environment.

In alignment with Senate Bill 179, Everman ISD counselors dedicate at least 80% of their time directly to the four components of the Comprehensive School Counseling Program, ensuring that students remain our central focus.

Mental Health Awareness and Support

At Everman ISD, we recognize the critical importance of mental health awareness for educators, parents, and community partners. To support the well-being of our students and their families, EISD collaborates with a variety of trusted agencies and service providers to ensure access to comprehensive mental health resources throughout a student's academic journey.

Understanding Levels of Care

Families seeking mental health care for their student should be aware that support is available across a range of levels. Not all situations require inpatient treatment. Options vary from outpatient counseling services to more intensive care when necessary. For more detailed information on the levels of mental health care and guidance on accessing appropriate services, please see the “Levels of Care” below.

Confidentiality

In Everman ISD, we believe a student’s right to privacy is the foundation of a trusting and effective counseling relationship. School counselors keep what students share private, unless the student and/or parent/guardian gives permission to share, or if there is a clear and immediate risk of harm to the student or others.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact their campus counselor at any time for more information about counseling services or to discuss specific supports available for their student.
