Assistant Principal last names A-M
Hi, my name is Dr. Alain Dupiton and I am honored to serve as an Assistant Principal at the Roy Johnson STEM Academy for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my 3rd year at Everman ISD and my 15th year in education. In my career, I have served as a Testing and Federal Programs Coordinator, a special education teacher, a Social Studies teacher and Department chair, a DAEP teacher, an English teacher, and a math teacher. I taught for the School District of Philadelphia, three school districts in Texas, and one district in Tennessee.
In addition to my public school teaching experience, I have been a University of Phoenix online graduate instructor since 2009. I pastor a church in Dallas, host a weekly radio ministry broadcast, and I am about to launch an online Bible School.
I received my undergraduate degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, TX. I obtained a Master's in Education from Cairn University, located in Langhorne, PA. Along with my M.Ed, I simultaneously received my teaching certificate in several areas. I earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University in 2015.
Before teaching in Texas, I taught for the School District of Philadelphia in PA. That was a wild experience because of the huge class sizes and big city atmosphere. However, I enjoyed that experience and would not take it back for anything. Before teaching, I did everything from management, customer service, corrections, and collections. Teaching was a love that I had but for whatever reason, I pursued later in life.
I bring my love of teaching and the classroom to Roy Johnson STEM Academy. As a teacher and a professor, I was highly involved in creating innovative curriculums and lessons that kept students engaged and learning. My classes were involved in various academic competitions and my students took responsibility for their own learning. As a teacher, my students also excelled in state testing, NWEA MAP tests, PSAT, AP exams, and other college board exams. My goal is to continue this same tradition at Roy Johnson STEM Academy.
I am originally from Queens, New York but have relocated several times. I ultimately purchased my first home in Ft Worth, TX (2008) because it was a very affordable place to live and a better place to raise my children. My parents are Haitian and still reside in the over- populated and expensive borough of Queens, New York. I also have family in the Dominican Republic, Montreal, Haiti, and all around the U.S.
I have a wife and four children (oldest 29, youngest 21). I love to read about history, politics, religion, and diverse cultures & languages. I love to watch all types of movies and sports. I think that I am a people person and can relate to all types of individuals. Anyhow, this is only a little bit about myself.
